About

Born in 1975 in Kalihati Upazila, Tangail District, M. Aminur Rahman passed his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations in 1990 and 1992 respectively, both in the Science group with commendable results. He enlisted in the Bangladesh Air Force on 31 March 1994 and served with distinction for 29 years, rising through the ranks from Leading Aircraftman through Corporal and Sergeant to Warrant Officer. He accumulated eleven professional qualifications — including a Diploma of Associate Engineer in Armament Technology recognised by the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, international training on the PD7.1 missile test bench in China, and specialist courses in EOD/IEDD and the FM-90 SHORAD air-defence system. He gained working experience on multiple missile platforms (PL-7, R-73E, R-27RI, PL-5E, PD-7.1) and served as a Pre-Shipment Inspector of Missile PL-5E in China and as a Junior Commissioned Officer-in-Charge and Supervisor at various BAF bases and units. He was deployed to the Democratic Republic of Congo under the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission (MONUSCO), where he was awarded the United Nations Medal for meritorious service.

Successfully completed the Advance Training programme in Armament Technology, covering 15 technical disciplines. Diploma awarded 25 March 1998, recognised as equivalent to Diploma of Associate Engineer by the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB). Curriculum included theory of flight, guided missiles, ejection devices, aircraft guns/bombs/rockets and gun sights, aircraft armament electrical systems, chemistry of explosives, ground defence weapons, explosive regulation and demolition, and maintenance management.
